In Nov 08 SARNISSA implemented and carried out a one month South Asia study tour visit for three African Partners. This involved visiting Thailand, Nepal, and Bangladesh to view different aspects of aquaculture research and development in each country: commercial and small scale aquaculture - grow out and hatchery, research and academic insts, govt, NGO and community projects, markets etc.The reports give details, contacts, and impressions from the tour as well as some analysis of potential (or not) for transferring technologies, institutional and outreach infrastructures to their own African country context.
